This week in maths we did a task about measuring distance. We had to use google maps to measure the distance between the Kaiapoi Pa and the Onawe Pa . The direct route was 54.6 kilometres. The distance over sea would be 32.1 kilometres . The direction to travel would be south, then head east. To get to the Kaiapoi Pa from the Christchurch city centre you would have to go North. And to get to the Onawe Pa from Christchurch City Centre you would go South, then south east, then North East, and finally South East again. Also, the coordinates for my school are -43.49963, 172.639175 The coordinates for Kaiapoi Pa are -43.225.172.392 and the coordinates for Onawe Pa are 43.774.172.925.
