writing

Today in writing we had to make a guide to a type of writing. I chose narrative writing. here is my guide.

PLAN:

Part one:  planning. To write your story, you will want to start off with a plan. If you are writing a narrative, flow charts, hamburgers, and mind maps are good ways to plan. Make sure to come up with multiple ideas so if one doesn’t work, you’ll have a back up!
Part two: first draft. In the first draft, you’ll want to do some work on the main themes of your narrative: The characters, the setting, the problem, and the outcome. Then begin writing.
Part three: refining. Read your first draft, and change the things you don’t like. Make the locations and characters more unique, instead of cookie cutter characters like: the hero. The villain. Someone that needs help. If you make characters like this, it won’t be very interesting, so be sure to give them distinct and unique personalities!
Part four: editing. Reread what you’ve done so far, and fix the grammar, spelling and punctuation. If you can, check it over with a friend.
Part five:the easiest part: all you have to do is meet with a publisher over lunch/dinner, strike up a publishing deal, and finally, get it published.

Here’s a template for you to write your story.
