school performance

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about cultural stories and the big question was;
What is the significance in the 21st Century of our Cultural stories?

First we brainstormed what culture is and came up with lots of ideas.  I think culture is interesting.
Then we thought about our own culture and talked to our parents about our traditions and heritage.
In Literacy we read and discussed myths and legends from around the world then we concentrated on Maori legends. I read  maui and the big fish. I have written my own legend as well.

We made a performance about the story Battle of the Mountains. Some students wrote the script, some students took on the job of making all the artwork, some worked hard on organising the music and others took on the role of bringing the story alive with dance and drama.

Reflection:
For our production I contributed by painting the backdrop.

I think the show might impact on others by laughing a lot.

What I learned about working with others was nothing.

swimming or something

sooooooooooooooooo for the last two weeks my class went to Graham Condon (fun fact: Graham Condon is the name of a swimmer from New Zealand) for swimming lessons. They were fine I guess. The highlight might of been when we went in our pyjamas.  But i was not there. I went and saw the time capsule opening. and ate oreos.
